Project Hayom Harat Olam

Communal prayer forms a crucial role in the High Holiday experience. This project aims to help all of us enliven our prayers through the sharing of High Holiday memories or reflections on the core ideas animating Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.


So we are seeking to collect these reflections on sentiments associated with the High Holidays. The possible content is limitless: A happy memory of a particular Rosh Hashanah from years past; an insight or personal reaction to a section of the liturgy; or a hope that animates your own thinking about the High Holiday season. After all, these are High Holidays that the liturgy describes as "Harat Olam," or "pregnant with eternity" -- a beautiful sentiment evoking the almost limitless possibilities associated with these days.


The goal here is simply to learn more about what makes those around us tick.
